Finalizing Border Economic Zone Infrastructure
At the Thanh Thuy International Border Gate, several key projects have been finalized. Most notably, the new Border Complex is now in stable operation, significantly enhancing service quality and reducing processing times for businesses and locals. The area has been revitalized with upgraded signage and a reorganized landscape, ensuring a streamlined and professional environment.

Along the border connection route, the project linking National Highway 2 to the Na La Border Trade Zone is underway. Once completed, this road will serve as a vital link in streamlining freight transport and fostering the growth of logistics, warehousing, and transshipment services. Furthermore, technical infrastructure at the Binh Vang Industrial Park - a strategic industrial hub connected to the Thanh Thuy International Border Gate - continues to be upgraded. From fire safety and wastewater treatment systems to specialized auxiliary facilities, these improvements are creating a pro-business environment to attract export-oriented processing enterprises.
Alongside physical upgrades, soft infrastructure - focused on administrative management and IT integration - has been a top priority. Infrastructure fee collection, vehicle monitoring, and traffic circulation have been digitized to ensure transparency and efficiency. Trade activities at the Xin Man - Duolong and Sam Pun - Tianpeng bilateral border gates remain stable. Notably, the coordinated efforts to facilitate cross-border passenger transport at Sam Pun serve as a major highlight, opening new horizons for tourism and border-region services.
Administrative Reform as a Catalyst for Growth
Border trade activities have recorded a breakthrough over the past year, evidenced by exponential growth in import-export turnover and budget revenue. As of November 30, 2025, total import-export turnover exceeded 710 million USD, surging by over 170% year-on-year. State budget revenue from taxes reached over 228 billion VND, an increase of nearly 38% compared to the same period last year.
Import-export activities are primarily concentrated at the Thanh Thuy International Border Gate, where vehicle traffic has seen steady growth. Key commodities, including agricultural products, minerals, materials, and consumer goods, continue to maintain high trade volumes. Meanwhile, auxiliary border gates and openings play a vital role in local cross-border trade - particularly in the exchange of goods among border residents - sustaining livelihoods and fostering a sustainable trade flow.

To maximize efficiency, import-export procedures have been streamlined and standardized - reducing processing times and eliminating overlaps in specialized inspections. The synchronized deployment of electronic data systems for vehicle and cargo control has empowered businesses to take a more proactive role in the clearance process.
Furthermore, an integrated database has been established across units within the border economic zone to facilitate online processing. This initiative enhances state management efficiency while minimizing direct contact. The commitment to supporting businesses is clearly demonstrated through the timely resolution of obstacles, market expansion assistance, and the diversification of import-export commodities.
Entering a new era for the nation, the strategic focus remains on creating breakthroughs in infrastructure to develop smart and modern border gates. Efforts are being intensified to expand cooperation with Chinese localities, promoting logistics, trade, and border tourism while encouraging businesses to integrate deeper into the production-processing-export chain. Embracing the spirit of a new Spring, the border economy is poised for further breakthroughs - driving socio-economic growth and enhancing the livelihoods of people in the border regions.
