Provincial officials said Tuyen Quang offers significant room for industrial expansion, with plans for 12 industrial parks covering nearly 3,100 hectares and 48 industrial clusters spanning more than 2,450 hectares.
The locality is also emerging as a tourism destination. Home to 46 ethnic groups and 697 historical and cultural sites, it offers favourable conditions for eco-tourism, community-based tourism, resort tourism and cultural experiences.
An overview of the meeting
In addition to tourism, Tuyen Quang has strengths in agriculture and forestry. It is known for products such as Shan Tuyet tea, Bac Ha mint honey, indigenous yellow cattle, Sanh oranges and Soi Ha pomelos.
The province is home to more than 1,000 species of medicinal plants and has over one million hectares of forest land and around 18,000 hectares of water surface area, creating opportunities for high-value agricultural and forestry products, medicinal materials, commercial fisheries and forest carbon markets.

Ngoc said foreign-invested enterprises play an important role in economic restructuring, improving competitiveness and supporting international integration. Tuyen Quang is prioritising investment projects that use advanced and environmentally friendly technologies in five key sectors: manufacturing and high technology; high-tech agriculture and forestry linked to global value chains; tourism and high-quality services; infrastructure for industrial parks, industrial clusters and urban areas; and clean energy, renewable energy and other green and circular economy industries.
Ngoc called on VAFIE to help introduce financially capable foreign investors and provide recommendations to further improve the local investment climate. He also reaffirmed the province's commitment to facilitating investment through administrative reforms, planning support, land access and workforce development.

Tuan said Tuyen Quang's advantages, particularly in tourism, place it in a stronger position to select suitable investors.
He said VAFIE would help connect foreign businesses with opportunities in sectors where the province has competitive strengths, especially industry and tourism, while supporting its efforts to promote green growth, including forest-based industries, carbon credit markets and value-added processing of plantation timber.
