The Wenshan Prefecture delegation and the Tuyen Quang provincial delegation during the meeting
Mr. Hoang Gia Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, received the delegation. Since the regular talk held in the second half of 2025 in Wenshan, Tuyen Quang Province and the Wenshan Prefecture Government have consistently maintained the regular exchange of delegations at all levels.
The two sides have collaborated closely to strictly implement the three legal documents on the Vietnam-China land border; maintained mechanisms for periodic meetings and information exchange; and coordinated the timely handling of arising incidents to ensure security, order, and safety in the border areas. Cooperation in cross-border labor management has been effectively deployed.

Mr. Hoang Gia Long, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, provides an overview of the cooperation results between Tuyen Quang and Wenshan Prefecture
In 2025, nearly 11,000 workers from Tuyen Quang traveled to work in Wenshan, contributing to improved livelihoods and meeting Wenshan’s manpower needs. Import-export turnover through the border gates reached over 1.1 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 104.4% compared to 2024. The two sides successfully co-organized the 2025 China-Vietnam (Wenshan) Border Trade and Tourism Fair and the 2025 Vietnam-China (Tuyen Quang) International Trade Fair. Sugarcane cultivation in Tuyen Quang to provide raw materials for sugar refineries in Wenshan remains a hallmark of agricultural cooperation between the two sides.
Mr. Hoang Gia Long emphasized that Tuyen Quang consistently values the expansion of international cooperation, including partnerships with Chinese localities, and stands ready to facilitate favorable conditions for Wenshan enterprises and investors to explore investment opportunities in the province.
Ms. Zhang Jinfeng expressed her impression of the cooperation achievements. She noted that Wenshan is a locality geographically adjacent to the Vietnamese border, possessing many favorable conditions to bolster ties with Northern Vietnamese provinces, including Tuyen Quang.
The Wenshan Prefecture Government will actively coordinate with Tuyen Quang to concretize cooperation agreements, creating favorable conditions for enterprises and organizations from both sides to increase exchanges and connections. This aims to drive economic development, enhance living standards, and consolidate the traditional friendship between the two nations.
Both sides will work together to promote the opening of the international road passenger transport route: Thanh Thuy International Border Gate, Tuyen Quang (Vietnam) - Tianbao Border Gate, Wenshan (China) and vice-versa in the second quarter of 2026.
